Based in Sheffield, this is an excellent opportunity for anyone within supply chain who is looking to further develop their skills by gaining exposure and experience at a global level.

Client Details



I'm currently working alongside an automotive manufacturer who specialise in supplying quality products to a number of OEM's globally. Due to an internal restructure, within the Sheffield site, they are now looking to strengthen their purchasing team, by recruiting a Sourcing Assistant, as they look to centralise their P2P team. As they work within a highly regulated industry they would ideally like someone who has worked in a similar environment within a structured purchasing department.



Description

As the Sourcing Assistant you will be responsible for the following:

  • Processing of incoming Purchase Requisitions – Check for completeness

  • Cross functional support for all departments with procurement requirements to ensure accurate & compliant

  • purchasing requests

  • Implementation of order processes via SAP Purchase Orders, Delivery Schedules, Framework Orders, Contract Orders

  • Processing order confirmations, monitoring delivery dates and processing escalation measures where necessary

  • Processing system generated workflows e.g. “invoices blocked for price reasons” and other procurement related deviations within the P2P process

  • Content Management – Creation of Info Records, Q-Info Records, Source lists, Schedule Agreements

  • Monitoring supplier evaluation, including communicating and calling for countermeasures

  • Preparing, participating in and following up on audit activities where applicable

  • Continuous improvements actions for Purchasing process improvements



Profile

The successful candidate for the Sourcing Assistant role will ideally have the following key skills and qualities:
  • Advanced system knowledge of SAP, ERP, Microsoft Excel
  • Supplier Management skills
  • Ability to communicate confidently and present ideas, data, concepts in a coherent manner
  • Educated to A Level/Relevant Degree
  • Previous experience within a Purchasing/Supply chain role
  • Proven experience of Operational Purchasing activities
  • Experience of working in a multi-site environment (desirable)
  • Strong in working under own initiative, combined with the flexibility to adjust to workload priorities
  • High level Interpersonal and communication skills towards all stakeholders
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload, maintain confidentiality, and produce/process documents accurately
  • Strong written and numerical skills
  • A flexible approach to work, along with the ability to work as part of a team





Job Offer

£25,000 + 17.5% bonus paid quarterly = £29375.00
30 days holiday + 6 flexi days
39 hours per week
